Virtual Materials with Oliver Cleveley-Jones
This episode Anna talks to the co-founder of Valkyrie Industries, Oliver Cleveley-Jones. We talked about how Oliver’s team are investigating ways to make objects more material in virtual reality, for example providing feedback to the user to give objects weight and texture. This is one of our more out-there conversations, but if you want to know what the future is going to be like, this episode is a great place to start.
Oliver is a reality architect at Valkyrie Industries where he helps design wearable technologies that expand the immersive experience of VR. With a background in architecture and computer science he is working to simulate the physics and tactile effects of digital materials, letting people feel the virtual.
